Getting Ready for Financial Mastery

Before diving into advanced financial modeling, let's make sure you have the right foundation. This preparation guide will help you assess your readiness and set yourself up for success in our comprehensive program starting September 2025.

Readiness Assessment

Financial modeling requires a solid foundation in both technical skills and analytical thinking. Before you begin, honestly evaluate yourself against these essential prerequisites. Don't worry if you're missing some elements – we'll guide you on how to bridge any gaps.

  • Spreadsheet Proficiency: You should be comfortable with Excel formulas, basic functions like SUM, AVERAGE, and IF statements. We'll be building complex models, so navigating spreadsheets efficiently is crucial.
  • Basic Accounting Knowledge: Understanding concepts like assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses will help you grasp why we structure models the way we do. You don't need to be an accountant, just familiar with fundamentals.
  • Mathematical Comfort: We'll work with percentages, ratios, and growth calculations regularly. If you can calculate compound interest by hand, you're probably ready for what's ahead.
  • Time Commitment: Our program requires 8-12 hours weekly for six months. Consider your current workload and personal commitments before starting this journey.
